Garden City High School Announces Class of 2026 Graduation Schedule and Details

GCHS is proud to announce the commencement details for the Class of 2026. As our seniors prepare to embark on their next chapters, the administration has outlined several key dates and requirements to ensure a smooth and celebratory transition for students and their families.

Final Milestones for Seniors

The countdown to commencement officially begins in May. The final day of instruction for graduating seniors will be Wednesday, May 13th.

Leading up to the main event, the Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 6:30 PM in the GCHS Commons. Please note that this specific event is by invitation only to recognize students receiving scholarships and academic honors.

Mandatory Practice and Ticket Information

To ensure the ceremony is a success, all graduates are required to attend the Graduation Practice Meeting on Thursday, May 14th at 1:00 PM in the GCHS Commons.

Important Note on Tickets: Physical paper tickets for the ceremony will be distributed only during this practice meeting. Each graduate is slated to receive between 5 and 6 tickets for their guests.

Commencement Ceremony Details

The official Graduation Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 17th. Doors will open to ticket holders prior to the 1:00 PM start time in the GCHS Gymnasium.

Graduation Apparel

Seniors who have ordered caps, gowns, and other commencement regalia through Jostens can pick up their items during lunch periods on Thursday, March 26th.

We look forward to celebrating the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2026. For further questions, please contact the GCHS main office
