31st Project Graduation

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Preparations are under way for Garden City High School’s 31st annual late-night graduation party, Project Graduation 2019. It’s a drug, alcohol and tobacco free celebration exclusively for the 2019 GCHS senior class. This event will be held at the YMCA, 1224 Center Street from 9:45 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. on graduation night, May 18th, 2019. GCHS seniors will enjoy a night of music, games, swimming, food, prizes, and other entertainment.

Project Graduation promotes the message that celebrating without alcohol or drugs is the right choice. Let’s continue to provide a positive and drug free place to celebrate our young people and their many accomplishments!

Our committee strives to make every graduation celebration successful, so we rely on community involvement and donations to help put on this event. Please consider making a donation on behalf of your favorite senior, which goes to provide prizes, food and entertainment. Each graduating senior will have a chance to win other prizes throughout the night.

Project Graduation has been sponsored for the last 31 years, by businesses, community leaders, GCHS teachers and students, and parent volunteers who all work together to make this a night of fun, laughter and life-long memories. We’re thankful to our generous community, that Project Graduation can offer a safe alternative for students to celebrate their accomplishments and graduation. Everyone who contributes to Project Graduation can take great pride in its success.  In some instances, it’s the only celebration a student may have. Project Graduation is a celebration we want to continue!

If you can volunteer or make a donation to Project Graduation, please contact Sandra Naeve at snaeve@gckschools.com or 620-290-6576.  Donations can be mailed or dropped off at GCHS C/O Sandra Naeve, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd, Garden City, KS 67846.  Checks can be made payable to Project Graduation. On behalf of everyone involved with the GCHS Project Graduation 2019, thank you for your support of our student’s accomplishments.

Sincerely,
Sandra Naeve, Elizabeth Alfeo, Jodi Malick, Monica Turrentine, Elizabeth Tabor, Shana Tabor & Heidi Rios
