The Journey to Your Future Begins Here!
Garden City High School, the Home of the Buffaloes, is a public school serving the 2,000 ninth through twelfth grade students in Garden City, Kansas. Our community is dedicated to educational excellence, as evidenced by our new state-of-the-art facility that opened in August 2012. Designed with a Smaller Learning Communities concept, the building features four wings which offer distinctive career pathways as well as outstanding courses in all core areas of study.
The GCHS Freshman Academy is a unique part of our school. We believe that thorough preparation is the key to achievement in all facets of life. Therefore, the Freshman Academy is dedicated to helping ninth graders experience a positive, successful start to their high school years.
